Spotlight on Danny Baker of PAV-KOTE

This week, we were thrilled to hear from Danny Baker, a third-generation member of PAV-KOTE, and our long-time trusted paving expert. With over 40 years of industry experience, and nearly 20 years working alongside EAOC, PAV-KOTE has become a familiar and reliable partner to our group. Danny’s presentation provided a fascinating behind-the-scenes look into the world of paving, especially in non-residential projects, which often take place during off-hours—while the public is resting. For instance, airports and schools are often revamped overnight to minimize disruption. With three shifts of dedicated workers and four decades of expertise, PAV-KOTE has evolved over the years to meet increasing demand and stay in line with ever-changing regulations, ensuring efficient and effective job completion.

Danny also shared a heartfelt photo album with memories from the company’s rich history, thoughtfully compiled by his grandfather. It was a touching glimpse into how PAV-KOTE has grown and adapted over the years.

For those managing parking lot maintenance, it’s essential to know that, per the ADA, the maximum grade for handicapped parking spaces is 2%. With one in five people in the U.S. living with a disability, this is a statistic that can’t be overlooked. Happy Friday EAOC!

Danny Baker of Pav-Kote was our presenter this Wednesday, and updated us on his company's history. Danny is continuing the legacy his grandfather and father created as a third-generation operator in the family business. Apparently, there is no job too large or small that Pav-Kote cannot handle.
