Spotlight on Tyler Douthit with Divert Pest Control

In this week’s morning meeting, EAOC members were excited to hear the ins and outs of the extermination industry from our trusted expert, Tyler Douthit of Divert Pest Control!

Tyler gave us an insightful lesson on rats and their behaviors, focusing on roof rats, the most common type in our area. He explained how their long tails are a telltale sign of their presence. Since rats are excellent jumpers, Tyler emphasized the importance of keeping trees at least six feet away from rooflines to prevent them from gaining access to your attic. He also shared his expertise on identifying entry points for rats, even if you’re unsure where they’re getting in. One of the highlights was learning about his new tool for rat traps, which sends a notification to his phone whenever a rat is caught. This allows him to schedule a quick follow-up to remove the pest, making the whole process much more efficient.

Tyler brings more than 30 years of direct experience in residential and commercial pest control.  His team uses the latest and most modern advancements in the industry to safely eliminate any possible pest hazards.

Thank you Sammy and Manny for a hearty breakfast. Although we were a little light on members, we had a great meeting and an educational  presentation by Tyler Douthit with Divert Pest Control.

Also, Happy Birthday to Manny and thank you Dianna for the birthday arrangement.

We hope to see everyone next week and remember board members, we are having a board meeting after our morning meeting.
